Director of
Athletics, Activities and Career Development
Otis Price coordinates the work of the Athletic Directors
and monitors budgets for athletics, physical education,
driver education, and health. He also serves as the
district’s Title IX coordinator and assures compliance. In
addition, Mr. Price promotes and coordinates the
development, implementation, and evaluation of student
career oriented courses, programs, and
directs the application for and administration of state and
federal grants available for vocational programs, including
conducting the required follow-up studies of students
participating in career education.
Mr. Price
graduated from the University of Montana with his bachelor’s
degree in business education in 1979. He received his
master’s degree in secondary education from Northern
Illinois University in 1987, and a Type 75 Administrative
Certificate from Loyola University in 1991. Mr. Price began
his District 211 career as a teacher and coach at Hoffman
Estates (1979-1981) and William Fremd High Schools
(1981-1991), and served as a 10 month assistant principal
from 1991-1994. In the fall of 1994 he was promoted to a 12
month month assistant principal, transferring to Palatine in
1995 and serving through 2002. He moved to the
administration center as Director of Career Development in
July of 2002 and was named Director of Athletics, Activities
and Career Development in July of 2004. Mr. Price is active
in the Willow Creek Community Church, training
leaders/teachers for the children's ministry. He also
coaches a community girls softball team.
