National Merit ScholarsHigh School District 211 announces National Merit Scholars for 2008-2009 Palatine, Ill. — Township High School District 211 announces that a record 34 students have been named National Merit Scholars in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Competition. Scholars are selected based on scores on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (P.S.A.T./N.M.S.Q.T.). William Fremd High School students Brian W. Cho, Elizabeth R. Holmberg, Grace W. Hoo, Chaitra Kishore, Robert H. Kramer, Michelle D. Lundholm, Maxwell D. Meigel, Meghan L. Morrison, Rachael O. Palumbo, Tyler M. Petersen, Sahana Rao, Matthew R. Schuelke, Henry Shin, Jessica L. Tackett, Gregory H. Tourville, Helena Yu, and Maggie Zhang have been named National Merit Scholars. Palatine High School’s National Merit Scholars are Elizabeth A. Jump, Sara-Clare A. McGeever, Anna Novikova, Eric A. Rodriguez, James H. Silveira, Shruthi Venkatesh, and Feiyu Xue. Karalyn C. Chen, Kevin Chen, Usman M. Iqbal, Amanda M. Rooney, and Emily Vanderbleek from Schaumburg High School have been named National Merit Scholars. National Merit Scholars from James B. Conant High School are Jared D. Bauman, Eileen S.
