Mary Pat Krones
Assistant Director of Special Education
Mary Pat Krones received her bachelor’s degree in special education from Eastern Illinois University. She also earned a master’s degree in psychology, as well as a specialist in school psychology degree, from Eastern Illinois University. Most recently, Ms. Krones earned a second master’s degree in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. Ms. Krones was named assistant director of special education in August, 2009. Prior to coming to High School District 211, she was a program supervisor for the North Suburban Special Education District (NSSED) in Highland Park, a position she held since July, 2001. Previously, Ms. Krones served as a school psychologist and intervention specialist for NSSED, and prior to that, she was a school psychologist for Waukegan School District 60 for four years.
