Lauren C. Hummel
Director of Food Service
Director of Food Service Lauren Hummel aids in the establishment of safe and healthful procedures for the District’s food service department. She is responsible for upholding nutrition standards for meals provided to students. She also is responsible for adherence to National School Meal Program regulations, as well as assisting with training, purchasing, record keeping, and selection and evaluation of food service personnel.
Ms. Hummel graduated with a degree in dietetics from Illinois State University in 2003, and furthered her pursuit in dietetics by completing her master’s degree at Illinois State University in 2005. Ms. Hummel worked as a clinical and pediatric dietitian prior to arriving in District 211 in 2006. Ms. Hummel is credentialed as a School Nutrition Specialist and also holds an Illinois Sanitation Certificate.
