Samantha J. Dolen
Assistant Superintendent for Student Services
The assistant superintendent for student services supports the efforts of the building administrators for student services and facilitates enrollment and evaluation of students through the work of the guidance department. Dr. Dolen oversees summer school and continuing education programs. She also oversees health services, student assistance program, homebound instructional program, and the District's "Response to Intervention" program. She is responsible for data analysis and program development, as well as Title I.
Dr. Dolen earned her bachelor’s degree in biological science and her master’s degree in educational administration from Illinois State University. She received her doctorate from Roosevelt University in educational leadership and organizational change, and completed her National Board Teaching Certification in 2002-2003. Prior to coming to District 211, Dr. Dolen taught for six years at East Peoria High School. After serving as a science teacher at Conant and Schaumburg High Schools from 2000-2002, she was named science department chair at Conant High School in 2002. Prior to her appointment to director of instructional improvement in 2008, she had been student services director at Hoffman Estates High School since 2005. She was appointed director of curriculum and student services in October 2008,and assistant superintendent July 2010.
