Sean P. Cunningham
Distirct 211 Academy-North Program Administrator
As program administrator, Sean Cunningham has the primary responsibility for creating the proper environment for instruction and learning within the separate, therapeutic setting of District 211 Academy-North. He is responsible to the director of special education.
Mr. Cunningham received his bachelor of arts degree in secondary social science education from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 1992, and his special education endorsements in 1997 from Benedictine University. He completed his school administration education by earning a master’s degree in educational leadership from Aurora University in 2006. He began his educational career as a teacher in 1994 with Proviso Area for Exceptional Children, S.E.J.A. 803. He was named program chairperson for PAEC Alternative High School in 1996 and was promoted to special education supervisor in 2006. He began his District 211 career in 2008 when named program administrator at Academy-North.
