District 211 College Night to be held at Fremd High School on October 10

The 2007-2008 District 211 College Night program, “The Time is Now ...,” will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m.) at William Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road in Palatine. Over 200 representatives from two- and four-year colleges and military academies will provide curriculum and campus information. College Night is open to all High School District 211 students and their parents.

“In the age of technology, personal contact has become limited,” said Fremd High School College & Career Consultant John Baima. “College night provides students and parents the opportunity to meet admission representatives and discuss the elements of the selection process. Colleges and universities attending the District 211 Fair will provide information either individually or in a group setting. The District 211 Counseling Help Desk also will offer information on the college search as well as financial aid.”

Free, round-trip shuttle bus service will be provided from other District 211 schools to Fremd High School. Parents are asked to take advantage of the shuttle buses, since parking is limited at Fremd High School.

For more information about College Night, please contact Mr. Baima at (847) 755-2631, or contact your school’s college/career counselor.
