Mucia Burke
Board of Education Vice-President
Mucia Burke was elected to the Board of Education in April 2011. She was elected Board Vice-President in May 2013. Mrs. Burke has been raising her family as a full-time stay-at-home mom since 1997. Prior to this, she was employed by Woodfield Business Products as a sales agent (1994-1997) and an accounts receivables manager (1992-1994). Mrs. Burke earned her bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology and a minor in nutrition from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn. Mrs. Burke has been a PTA member since 2002, and served as Fredrick Nerge Elementary School PTA president from 2007-2009. She also has served as the first vice president of the Schaumburg Council of PTAs since 2010. Mrs. Burke was a girl scout leader for six years (2002-2008) and served periodically as a community cheerleader coach and soccer coach between 2002-2007.
