George Brandt
Board of Education Member
George Brandt was elected to the Board of Education in April, 2007. Mr. Brandt is president of American Sports Turf Surfacing, a family-owned business that specializes in the installation and renovation of athletic fields. He has been involved with several educational foundations: served for nine years on the District 15 Foundation Board of Trustees, including three years as an officer; was a founding member of the University of Wisconsin’s Foundation (W.T.F.) and served on the Board of Trustees for six years; and has been a board member for three years and is currently an officer in L.I.F, a foundation that provides research grants to universities world-wide. He has been a Board member for the Fremd High School Viking Boosters for five years, serving as an officer for three years and is currently president. Mr. Brandt, his wife, and all three of their children attended District 211 schools.
