Anna Klimkowicz,
Board of Education Member
Anna Klimkowicz was elected to
the Board of Education in 1997 and served as Board secretary from
1999-2001. She has been recognized by the Illinois Association of School
Boards as a "Master School Board Member." She serves on the governing
board of the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization as the
District representative and vice president. Mrs. Klimkowicz is employed by
Schaumburg Township as an executive assistant for Welfare Services. She
earned her associate’s degree in general arts from Oakton Community
College, holds a bachelor’s degree in business education from Northern
Illinois University, and earned a master’s degree in public
administration from Roosevelt University. She serves as the chairperson
of the Village of Schaumburg Peer Jury Oversight Committee. Mrs.
Klimkowicz has served as the Schaumburg Township Council of PTA's
president, treasurer and most recently Ways & Means Chairman. In
addition, she has served as president of Jane Adams Junior High
School and Blackwell Elementary PTA's. Mrs. Klimkowicz continues to be a
Girl Scout Leader and the Service Project Coordinator for Service Unit
660. She received the organization's Outstanding Volunteer Award in
2002, Beaman/Denoyer Award in 2003 and the Outstanding Leader Award in
2004. She has served on various Schaumburg High School V.I.P. Club
committees. Mrs. Klimkowicz received a "Those Who Excel" award from the
Illinois State Board of Education in 2002.
